Why the numbers differ
- NEA reports the raw 1-hour PM2.5 concentration in µg/m³ with four bands: Normal, Elevated, High and Very High.
- The US AQI is computed locally from the regional PM2.5 history using the US EPA's weighted 12-hour NowCast and its 2024 PM2.5 breakpoints.
- Both describe the same air. Use NEA bands and haze.gov.sg for official Singapore advisories.
